I’m not in the business of shopping just for the sake of shopping –my goal is to help create a closet that works for you (we’ll have fun, too, I promise). There’s a large chance we don’t need to buy a single thing. (Oftentimes it’s just a new white t-shirt. TBD)

We will build on what you already have, and add pieces that make sense- I call it strategic shopping; let’s make your wardrobe work for who you are today. Your closet is one of your bigger investments- in both money and time- so let’s make sure it’s working well for you, checking under the hood every once in a while.

I am New York City–based, working with clients in-person in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, Westchester, Long Island, Hoboken, Jersey City, New Jersey, and Chicago - as well as virtually, nationwide. And I’m willing to travel- don’t hesitate to ask!

  • We’ll touch everything in the closet to make sure everything has a reason for being there, find new life for old items, and move those things that aren’t working out of the way. Maybe we get rid of it entirely, maybe we don’t- I just want everything in your closet to work, today. You’ll try on, you’ll say hello to old pieces you’d forgotten about, you’ll say goodbye to things that no longer serve you, you’ll leave feeling lighter!

  • In-person- we’ll shop from whatever stores and brands best suit you and your needs (fit, style, price being a few factors). Or we can order online and try it on at home, together.

    Do you live out of town? We’ll order and try on together, virtually.

  • The full 2 (or 3)-month program for those who are truly unsure on their style and what to wear:

    Step 1:

    Closet Cleanout, where we try it all on, clean out your space, and create a list of needs

    Step 2:

    2 shopping sessions- in person or online plus try-on, we’ll find items to round out the closet and make sure you have everything that you need

    Step 3:

    Closet integration- the final step, where we make sure you know how to wear all of the new items, we make outfits and take pictures, whatever you need to feel confident getting dressed every day!

  • 2-3 times a year, I’ll come in at the beginning of a season, and we’ll review the closet. See what needs refreshing, make sure everything still fits and makes sense, and come up with what to shop for if we need anything! This check-in is a great time to plan for any upcoming events, too.

  • Take packing off of your list!

    Quickly becoming one of my favorite, and most helpful, services: send me an itinerary for your business trip, destination wedding, family vacation.

    I can create a list for you, or we can pack together, virtually; and in 1-2 hours take the packing off of your list, entirely.

  • Big party coming up? Not sure what to wear, but know you want to impress? I’m here to help! I will shop and send you a book of looks- and once we decide on the look, the accessories to pair with it. We can do this whole thing in person, too.

    I’ve been working with prom goers and soon-to-be Bat Mitzvahs on their looks for the big weekend- and their moms, dads, anyone looking to feel great. I make a great messenger, the go-between if you will, so that everyone can look great and no one has to argue.

About Ally

Hi, I’m Ally — a New York City–based stylist, personal shopper, and wardrobe consultant with over 15 years of experience in personal styling and retail leadership.

I began this chapter of my career at Trunk Club, where I learned the art and strategy of one-on-one styling. Since then, I work with men, women, and even teens preparing for milestone events, professionals navigating major career moments, women returning to the workforce, and men wanting to just look good- or anyone wanting help with what to wear for any reason at all — all with the same goal: to make their closets work for them.

I’m not here to push unnecessary purchases (and that’s not how I get paid, either- let’s go to Zara if you want!). I’m here to help you make sense of what you already own, identify what’s missing, and ensure every piece in your wardrobe has a reason for being here.

Your closet deserves a checkup under the hood, a little attention, every once in a while — just like your car.

When I'm not helping clients, you'll find me walking NYC listening to podcasts (usually about Bravo), trying new restaurants (and making sure there are always fries on the table), or reading about the latest pop culture news and reality tv scandals. (Or losing at fantasy football, depending on the season).
